After five years in business and over ten years in corporate practice
as a tax attorney for Chevron, Ms. Susan Jeffries opened
her own private practice specializing in divorce in
addition to cases involving financial and tax problems.
Since 1990, she has successfully handled over a thousand
divorce matters. While divorce is an intensely financial
problem, it is unusual to find a family law attorney
with substantial background in tax, business and finance.
Ms. Susan Jeffries has lengthy experience in all of these areas and
is one of only two family law attorneys in the Alameda,
California area with an advanced degree in taxation.
She knows divorce law and her clients do not need to
incur the added expense of hiring additional advisors
in order to get sophisticated tax and financial analysis
that most cases require. This expertise with tax and financial matters
makes cases settle faster because financial
issues can be understood and handled with more confidence
by both parties.
Ms. Susan Jeffries has lived in Alameda, California since 1984. She
is married, with one daughter, two dogs, a cat and
many fish - all golden. Before she went to law school,
Ms. Susan Jeffries built and
